Perhaps she was hurt, in an accident or something -- unable to get in touch with you. I would hate that if that's the case, but ultimately, I'd hate to think that somebody would be capable of doing that -- just letting Sam go and not getting in touch with you.Twisted Knitterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04766137731392826652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-66542195703729895342007-10-23T06:47:00.000-05:002007-10-23T06:47:00.000-05:00Oh Stephanie I have tears in my eyes reading this ...Oh Stephanie I have tears in my eyes reading this (as I said, it's been too long since I came to catch up), but I'm so glad I kept scrolling down. I know the decision would be hard, and it seemed to be the right one, but then it seems as if he was trying to find his way back to you.

What did you end up doing? Did you find him another home, or did you keep him?

Did that girl ever call you back? She could at least have brought the cage back.

Email me because inquiring minds have to know. And I'm hugging my sweet shaggy girl right now.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03789250398792504412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-44059798382314126952007-10-10T15:54:00.000-05:002007-10-10T15:54:00.000-05:00I am so sorry about Sam! I hear you about it being easier without the dogs but my little ones just love their "Lalock" (Sherlock) and "Mox" (Max). Maybe it will be easier with just Sam?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-83873705225878296902007-10-05T01:12:00.000-05:002007-10-05T01:12:00.000-05:00Oh.... praying for wisdom!Oh.... praying for wisdom!Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08562327535448460255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-45536159051430570742007-10-04T11:07:00.000-05:002007-10-04T11:07:00.000-05:00that is so so so sad! i tend to think it's a sort ...that is so so so sad! i tend to think it's a sort of sign that you should keep sam, but i understand if that just isnt realistic.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-90093082384076898312007-10-04T00:35:00.000-05:002007-10-04T00:35:00.000-05:00O my! But....when we moved to our farm 6 years ago we got our wonderful lab, Harley. One day 2 years ago he got lost trying to follow Scott snowmobiling. I was absolutely crushed! Another snowmobiler found him wandering around a mile or so from our house and called. I cried when we got him home safe. He also slept forever. Hug on him while we pray for a new GOOD home for him.Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06882593637937353343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-54571750800486607822007-10-03T19:03:00.000-05:002007-10-03T19:03:00.000-05:00What a tough spot to be in! Calling area vets sounds like a good idea. What about "doggy associations?"

They are beautiful dogs! I'm sure someone suitable will come along.Stephanie Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02976709475515458563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-57389267164102194622007-10-03T17:33:00.000-05:002007-10-03T17:33:00.000-05:00It is so hard to give away a dog. Have you called your vet to see if they know someone who would be interested in a well-trained healthy dog? Just a thought!

We have thought of getting rid of our JRT on several occasions. He is getting grumpier in his old age (10) and that doesn't mix with babies and toddlers. On another level, I can't imagine not having him here. It would be less to take care of with 7 kids underfoot!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08070358918737011146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-14767133475578529842007-10-03T14:20:00.000-05:002007-10-03T14:20:00.000-05:00Poor Sam!
