I don't think I reworded anything, but I explained some unfamiliar (old time!) language, and we talked a bit about Elmer Elevator's attitude to his parents, too.morninglight mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04128926711800459894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-44480975792393086602010-03-02T11:53:57.657-06:002010-03-02T11:53:57.657-06:00@Carrie: You know … I noticed that, but I think th...@Carrie: You know … I noticed that, but I think that’s the difference between me reading that to my Betsy (2 ½) and Noelle (almost 7). The back-talk section was fairly brief and Noelle understands that if that happens in our house, there are consequences. : ) Does that make sense? Betsy is so much more impressionable, which is why if she sees/hears her big sisters do anything then she immediately tries to copy them. That’s where I find the difference. :)Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04660852009014295034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-21375786291683644372010-03-02T10:20:20.942-06:002010-03-02T10:20:20.942-06:00I confess I started reading this one recently alou...I confess I started reading this one recently aloud to me 3 1/2 year old and was rewording it so much (without his knowledge, of course) to make him more polite to his mother. =D I'm curious to hear people's take on the boy's attitude. Any thoughts there?Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08772667430500306088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7153352.post-37723215641037861942010-03-02T10:09:26.736-06:002010-03-02T10:09:26.736-06:00I've never hear of these.
