And by prequel, I mean that I started my album before December 1. : ) We started a few Christmas-y things that Sunday after Thanksgiving - our Advent devotional, getting out the Christmas decorations - and truth be told, I was dying to start playing with my album. So I went ahead and started early. : )
My album is a holiday journal from EliseJoy's etsy shop. It's a 4x6 album and is the perfect size for me this year. If I'm pressed for time, I can just punch a 4x6 photo and slip it in; if I have a bit more play time, I can resize photos and spend a bit more time embellishing the page. (I actually have an example of both below on these first two pages.

Page 1: I added the S from the Elle's Studio Christmas Kit + my Project Life date stamp.
A few goals for me this year at Christmas. I was telling someone about my album yesterday and realized that while I do make these for my family, including lots of traditions and Christmas stories, it's really for me ... a wrap of the current year and some time to creatively write and process goals and plans for next year. Hoping to flesh that out even more with this year's album.
This picture was apparently taken by Suzy Shakyhand because it is not in focus. Oops. : )
"A Tradition" tag from an Elle's Studio digital kit. (The tag and pattern paper are attached to back of the picture above). I think you will see quite a few Elle's Studio tags throughout the album this year. I've picked up several from Jessica Sprague's digital shop as they have been on $1 Wednesdays this year and am now printing them up to use. As you can see on this page, I used the instagram pictures form this post and resized them so that I could fit them all on to a 4x6. I'm thinking I will also be using quite a few instagram photos as well. I love that app on my phone and use it all the time.
Happy December and happy Saturday. We have our last Saturday play practice for the church Christmas program tomorrow. (So not ready with my lines.) Then we're celebrating the niece turning 14 (denial), probably some miscellaneous laundry and household projects, and just maybe I'll get a chance to work some more on my December journal + Project Life. Off to start things moving in that direction...!

Love it. Won't be doing Dec. Daily here this year (sickness totally made that an impossibility!), but I'm hoping to start Project Life digi in Jan.
ReplyDeleteI prepped my album so that all I'd have to do was take pictures and write. (Every little bit helps!)
