I tried a new crockpot recipe this week and it is one worth sharing! I found this recipe via the Tasty Kitchen blog and when I realized that I had all the ingredients on hand, the regular menu plan was bumped for the night to serve this. A decision I don't regret. : ) We were sharing dinner with my BFF and her family, and this was super easy to put together and drop off at her house.
My photo this week wasn't the greatest, but don't let that deter you from making this recipe. You can read the original version here on the Tasty Kitchen website. This is definitely going to be a great summertime addition to the crockpot section of my recipe notebook.

That does sound yummy, and very easy. I definitely will try it.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good, thanks for sharing! What did you serve with it? That's always my downfall, what kinds of sides or veggies to serve with an entree! :)
ReplyDelete@Stacy: We ate it with a big salad. I also think veggies roasted in the oven would be good (maybe green beans?). Another thought would be to bake some potatoes and then serve the bbq on top of the potato. That would be a great meal with a salad.
ReplyDeleteNow I’m hungry. :)
I made this yesterday with chunk pineapple and honey BBQ sauce. DH and I both thought it was good. I served it over rice and with slaw made by a recipe on Becky Higgins' blog. Next time I want to try crushed pineapple and BBQ sauce that is less sweet. Thanks so much, Stephanie, for making these cards--I love them, and the recipes themselves are a nice bonus!
