Hello, Hello

A little peek at our school room in progress...

The settling in continues in our new home! We are finding homes for things and slowly putting pictures up on the walls. Life is (sort-of) returning to normal after the chaos of the last several weeks, thankfully. I don't know that I intended to be absent for so long, but it's just how it worked out. : )

Having more space has definitely been a bit of an adjustment, but a good one. One of our favorite things about our old house was our big family room where we always congregated. My computer and scrapbook table were there, as were the girls' toys and our TV. It was easier (not necessarily better) for me to be able to hop online and post or check blogs while the munchkins played or watched a video. In our new house (which I will do a photo tour of soon!), our TV is downstairs in our family room, while the girls' toys, our school / play room, and the laundry is upstairs. So, while my computer is upstairs, when we are upstairs I am kept busy with laundry and schooling, and when we are all downstairs, we are relaxing with a video or hanging out in the kitchen together. It has made our TV time and my computer time much more rare and deliberate which I love! There is much less parking girls in front of a video so I can play because that would put them downstairs and me upstairs which I don't like. All that to say, I'm still trying to figure out routines and schedules, because I don't want to give up blogging (I don't think!) and I do need some downtime scrapbooking and being creative. But, the good time to do that right now is after girls (and boy) go to bed at night and that is my time to hang out with T and I don't want to give that up either. : ) Still working on it...

So, that's what we've been up to in a nutshell! And quickly, as I really do need to start school today, this little man turned 5 months on Monday (!!!) and is just as sweet and roly-poly as ever. I have caught up his baby album (by the week) and I'll post those layouts hopefully soon.

More soon. Happy Thursday!

  1. I didn't think about that but changing a home can definitely change a schedule when little ones are inside of it! =) Well, the one picture alone indicates that your home is beautiful! I'll look forward to the picture tour whenever you get around to it. =) In the meantime, continue to have, er, FUN - unpacking!
